COVID-19 RULES

Information on how we are operating during the pandemic

We will regularly update the information on this page to ensure we are working within the national guidelines and also to ensure safe working practices. 

General Rules

  • Sessions are members only until further notice
  • All swimmers must be pre-booked via the online booking system for the session they are attending. 
  • No spectators are allowed with the exception of one parent/guardian per junior swimmer.
  • Social Distancing must be adhered to at all times. 
  • One way system must be adhered to. 
  • Please follow the directions/request of our staff & crew.  
  • Cafe open to the public. 

Open Water Swim Sessions 

  • Once you have arrived at the Lagoon, we will book you in near the fighter jet aeroplane, just past the café, as you walk around to the lake – please wait in this area if you are early – maintaining social distancing until you have been checked in. 
  • Please arrive for the start of your session as once the session has started, the crew have other roles so to cover so they will close off the registration area.
  • Marker flags will be in the ground at the side of the lake – this is your changing area. Leave your bags etc at your spot. No changing room facilities at the moment.
  • Public toilets at the cafe are currently unavailable. 
  • We can help you into your wetsuits if you need help – A crew member will wear mask & gloves when the assist you. Do not assist or request assistance from other swimmers who are not in your family/bubble. 
  • For the first few sessions we are only offering the 250m course for safety reasons to everyone. Please ask as a reminder about the course if you need to on arrival. 
  • The safety crew on the water will advise you when it’s time to exit the lake at the end of the session but you may exit and re-enter during the session as long as you social distance. 
  • Once you have exited the lake, use your flag as your area to re-dress, then please head back to the café/car park the same we you arrived. Please maintain social distancing at all times.

Woodland Walk/Run Circuit

  • The woodland walk/Run is only open to members.
  • Be aware the route is a challenging off road trail.
  • The circuit must be walked/run in an anti-clockwise direction at all times.
  • Please social distance and be patient on narrow single track sections.
  • Please respect the wildlife and do not litter.



Cafe


  • The cafe will be open offering a take-away service from the serving hatch.
  • Please ensure social distancing whilst queuing.
  • Please wear a mask at the hatch.
  • Picnic tables will be available to sit at to eat & drink (and enjoy the view).
  • Please only consume food onsite that has been purchased at the cafe.
